HOW IT ALL BEGAN....
It started when Andy first began to keep Budgies, Finches, Cockatiels, Rabbits and Fish for his own enjoyment when he lived in Peterborough.
The after he got married to Harrie and they moved to Whittlesey, they enlarged the avairies and ponds. They also added Barn Owls to the collection, then when they moved out to the site they are now, they added Chickens, Ducks, Turkeys, Tropical Fish, Hamsters to the collection. During a trip to Wisbech they came across a Little Owl injured on the road so they collected it and took it home checked it out and made sure it did not to be seen by a vet.
After a week the Little Owl was back to it's old self so they had great pleasure in taking it back to the area it was found and letting it go, this was a great feeling for the both of them. So they then decided to start the Fenland Exotic Bird/Animal & Wildlife Rescue/Refuge Centre.
The Aims of the Centre is to look after sick or injuried Exotic Birds or Animals and Wildlife, also if people found they are unable to give a home to there exotic pets anymore then they will take it in, and give it a loving home.
This is all being done Voluntary....
